The road to SUCCESS

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving break with your family! I know we did! It was great to see some of my grandsons from Lubbock! They grow up so fast! Speaking of fast, winter break will be here in no time. Please encourage your child to be here every day and to be the best that they can be! I am super proud of every one of them! Recently I joined our middle school and high school principals on a trip to another AVID school and one of the things that they have incorporated at their campus is “Where are We Going” Wednesdays. I would love to encourage your child to start wearing their college shirts on Wednesdays to show off where they might want to go to college. It is never too early to start talking about this! This will also support our school-wide AVID theme here at the elementary. Another aspect of AVID that we are trying to instill in our students is organization. Soon we will be encouraging them with brag tags to keep their binders looking great! Ms. Bassham and I are starting random checks to see who has awesome binders! These are super cool looking and I hope you get to see one soon from your kiddo!

The road to SUCCESS

Sigue presionando hacia adelante! Somos Bulldogs, somos uno! Melissa Johnson
