CATCH Kick-Off Week Morning Announcements DAY ONE CATCH Tip of the Day “Just a reminder students, we’re a CATCH School! That means we work towards having healthy students in a healthy school. So, here at we work on being a CATCH MVP. A CATCH MVP is someone who Moves and stays active, Values healthy eating, and Practices healthy habits every day! Let’s all have a healthy school year & try to be CATCH MVP’s together: remember to eat healthy foods and exercise every day!”

DAY TWO CATCH Tip of the Day “Do you remember what the M in CATCH MVP stands for? A CATCH MVP stands for someone who Moves and stays active, Values healthy eating, and Practices healthy habits every day. So, the M stands for Move and stay active. The CATCH Tip of the Day reminds us to move & play every day! Try to go for a walk or run after school today.”

DAY THREE CATCH Tip of the Day “Do you remember what the V in CATCH MVP stands for? A CATCH MVP stands for someone who Moves and stays active, Values healthy eating, and Practices healthy habits every day. So, the V stands for Values healthy eating. The CATCH Tip of the Day reminds us to eat healthy. Try to eat more GO foods than SLOW or WHOA foods. Foods with less fat and sugar are GO foods, like fresh fruits & veggies, corn tortillas, and lean meats. Foods a little higher in fat and sugar or more processed are SLOW foods, foods like tortilla chips, white bread or rolls, and low fat frozen yogurt. And, foods highest in fat and sugar and are the most processed are WHOA foods, things like soda, candy, doughnuts, and potato chips. Remember to eat more GO than SLOW or WHOA foods!”

DAY FOUR CATCH Tip of the Day “Do you remember what the P in CATCH MVP stands for? A CATCH MVP stands for someone who Moves and stays active, Values healthy eating, and Practices healthy habits every day. So, the P stands for Practices healthy habits every day. The CATCH Tip of the Day reminds us to eat healthy and exercise every day! Try to eat at least 5 fruits and vegetables every day and be active for at least 60 minutes each day.”

DAY FIVE CATCH Tip of the Day “All week we have learned about being a CATCH MVP. Let’s all try to be CATCH MVP’s this year and Move and stay active, Value healthy eating, and Practice healthy habits every day. Remember what the CATCH Characters have taught us about eating healthy and being active. Ask your teacher for more information on how you can be a CATCH MVP.”
