PTA News  The annual Membership Drive is  going on until 10/26 and it is only  $7!  ​The class with the highest  membership will win a pizza  party!    Please join us.  We meet on the first  Tuesday of each month at 3pm in  the teacher’s lounge.  Our next  meeting is November 6​th​ .     *Childcare will be provided*

Larsen is off to a great start! As  always, we want to make sure that  students arrive to school safely and  come to school everyday. Your help  is needed in making sure that your  child is in school on time everyday.   ● Early Arrival for library &  Breakfast for 1​st​-2​nd​- 7:30 a.m.  ● Classes begin-  ● K 8:05 & 1​st​-5​th​- 8:07    ● Regular Dismissal -   ● K- 1:35 p.m.   ● 1​st​-3​rd​-2:40 p.m. & 4​th​-5​th​-2:46  ● Tuesday Early Days Dismissal -  ● K at 11:26 a.m.   ● 1​st​-3​rd​-12:06 p.m. & 4-5​th​-12:26    Students are expected to be in class  on time. 30 minutes late to class and  30 minutes early pick-ups count as  absences.     When  a  child comes in late or leaves  early,  not  only  have  they  missed  valuable class time, it is disruptive to  his  or  her  classmates.  We  understand  that  mornings  can  be  hectic,  but  it  is  important  to  stress  the  need  to  be  to  school  and  not  miss instructional minutes.   

 

 

Open Campus! 

Library   Before & After School 

The  last  Friday  of  every  month  we  open  our  doors  at  7:45  a.m.  and  welcome  our  families  to  join  us  at  the  blacktop  and  help  us  start  the  day.  Then  a  parent  meeting  takes  place  afterwards  for  those  that  can  stay.   

We  offer  library  hours  before  and  after  school.  In  the  morning,  Ms.  Chavez  opens  the  library  from  7:30-8.  After  school  the  library  is  open  from  2:40-3:45.  On  early  days,  Tuesdays,  the  library  is  open  from  12-1:45  after school. We are thankful  for our amazing librarian!

Homework Help   Before School 

The month of October we celebrate  Red Ribbon Week​ (RRW) by having  a​ Parade on 10/31 , t​ ied to Drug  Free Week.     Students may dress up as a  character from a book but please  remember to follow these simple  guidelines:  ● No toy weapons or masks   ● Waist should not be exposed  ● Dresses/skirts should be  appropriate lengths  ● Kids should know about their  character     We will have our RRW from  10/23-10/31. A letter will be sent  with more details as the celebration  approaches. Our theme this year is  Life Is Your Journey, Travel ​Drug  Free! 

Mr.  Martin  offers  homework  help in  room  5  every  day  before school. He  is available from 7:30-8:00 a.m.    Take advantage of this opportunity!     

School Site Council  We are happy to announce that we  will have an election for School Site  Council (SSC). We want to invite  you to participate and be part of  this important committee. SSC is  responsible for making financial  decisions that impact your child’s  education. Become involved and  join us on 10/4//18 at 3pm.    

Triple P Classes!  Come to our 3P Parent meetings on  10/09, 10/16, 10/23 in English from  12:15-1:30 p.m. Also join us for our  Cafe Con Leche and enjoy a cup of  coffee and delicious bread while  we keep you involved in your  children's education on 10/12 at 8:45  a.m.​ ​(it will be on mindfulness).

¡Larsen ha tenido un gran comienzo!  Como siempre, queremos  asegurarnos de que los estudiantes  lleguen a la escuela de manera  segura y asistan a la escuela todos  los días. Se necesita su ayuda para  asegurarse de que su hijo esté en la  escuela a tiempo todos los días.    ● Llegada para la biblioteca y  desayuno para 1 y 2do - 7:30 a.m.   ● Las clases comienzan -  K 8:05 y 1ro-5to- 8:07  ● Salida regular -  K a la 1:35 p.m.  1​ ro-3ro-2: 40p.m. y 4to-5to-2: 46 p.m  ● Martes salida temprano -  K a las 11:26 a.m. 

 

Plantel abierto  El  último  viernes  de  cada  mes  abrimos  nuestras  puertas  a  las  7:45  a.m.  y  damos  la  bienvenida  a  nuestras familias para que se unan a  nosotros  en  el  asfalto  y  nos ayuden  a  comenzar  el  día.  Luego  se  lleva  a  cabo  una  reunión  de  padres  para  aquellos que pueden quedarse.   

!El Carácter Cuenta en  Octubre! 

El mes de octubre celebramos Red  Ribbon Week (RRW) con un desfile  el 10/31, junto la semana de decir  NO a las drogas.    Los estudiantes pueden vestirse  1ro-3ro-12: 06 p.m. y 4to-5to-12:26  como un personaje de un libro,  p.m.  pero recuerde seguir estas sencillas    instrucciones:  Se espera que los estudiantes  ● No hay armas ni máscaras  lleguen a clase a tiempo. 30 minutos  de juguete  tarde a la clase y salir 30 minutos o  ● La cintura no debe estar  más temprano sin justificación,  expuesta  cuentan como ausencias.  ● Los vestidos / faldas deben    tener longitudes apropiadas  Cuando un niño llega tarde o se va  ● Los niños deben saber  temprano, no solo han perdido un  sobre su carácter  valioso tiempo de clase, es    perjudicial para sus compañeros de  Nuestra semana de RRW será de  clase. Noticias de PTA 

La campaña anual de membresía  será hasta el 26 de octubre y sólo  cuesta $ 7! ¡​La clase con la  membresía más alta ganará una  fiesta de pizza!    Por favor venga a nuestras juntas  cada primer martes de cada mes a  las 3. Nuestra próxima reunión es el  6 de noviembre    *Habrá cuidado de niños*  

 

 

Biblioteca   Antes y Después de  Clases  Ofrecemos horas de la biblioteca  antes y después de la escuela. Por la  mañana, la Sra. Chávez abre la  biblioteca de 7:30-8. Después de la  escuela, la biblioteca está abierta  de 2:40-3: 45. Cada martes, la  biblioteca está abierta de 12-1: 45  después de escuela.     ¡Agradecemos a nuestro increíble  bibliotecaria! 

Ayuda para tarea-  Antes de clases  El Sr. Martin ofrece ayuda en el  salon 5 todos los días antes de que  empiezan las clases. Está disponible  de 7:30 a 8:00 a.m.! Aproveche esta  oportunidad! 

Concilio Consejero  Nos entusiasma anunciarles que  tendremos una elección. Queremos  invitarlos a participar y formar parte  de este importante comité que es  responsable de tomar decisiones  financieras que afectan la  educación de su hijo/a. Involúcrese  el 04 de Octubre a las 3pm.   

Juntas de padres 3P y  Junta de Café con leche  Venga a nuestras juntas de Padres 3P el  10/09, 10/16, 10/23 en español de  8:45-10:15 a.m. También acompáñenos a  nuestra junta de Café con leche y  delicioso pan mientras los mantenemos  involucrados en la educación de sus  hijos el 10/12 a las 8:45 a.m.
